It was fabulous to see so many district families, alumni, and community members turn out for the LASD Community Festival! The games, activities, and food trucks were a big hit! So much excitement out on the field with water cannons, obstacle courses, paper airplane challenges, and more! We're grateful to our event committee and many volunteers for bringing us together to have fun and celebrate our nine excellent schools and LAEF's 40th anniversary.

About LASD Community Festival
The Los Altos School District (LASD) and the Los Altos Educational Foundation (LAEF) are partnering to host the LASD Community Festival to celebrate our 9 outstanding schools, all of which have CA Distinguished School awards, and to thank the community for 40 years of support through LAEF.

The festival is on Sunday, May 7, 4-7 pm at the Covington School blacktop and play area. The festival will have food trucks, games, and activities – good food and fun things to do for your family, friends, and neighbors. Everyone is welcome!

Activities
Each LASD school is hosting a station! We’ll have games, face painting, a Mentos challenge, a paper airplane challenge, popcorn, a cotton candy machine, and much more!
The Art Docents, Living Classroom, and the Los Altos History Museum will have fun projects for all ages.
Art Carmichael will bring the first Los Altos old pumper fire trucker. We’ll also have the first Los Altos Police car as well, a 1953 Chevy.
There will be a DJ playing music to keep the afternoon festive.

From 5:15-5:30 pm, we will have some brief announcements and take a reunion photo with past and present LAEF board members.

Food Trucks
We have a great lineup of trucks scheduled offering a variety of food for purchase. Here are some of the amazing food trucks that will be at the festival!
