Every TK-6th grade LASD student is learning computer science this school year — how to use code to express their creativity and make projects that are relevant to them. Junior high students can choose from a variety of computer science electives. Computer science builds logic, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, and provides a way to experiment with math concepts. Find out more.

We still need to raise $175K to fully fund our LASD Annual Grant for teachers and staff this school year. If you have yet to give, donate to LAEF today and submit for a corporate match if it’s available to you. Here is a list of companies that matched donations to LAEF last year. We are grateful to those who have already given this school year!
Donations to LAEF fund PE teachers, computer science teachers, librarians, 4th-6th music teachers, the Art Docents program, the Living Classroom program, teachers for junior high electives, and mental health counselors.
In December, students at all LASD elementary and junior high schools played beautiful winter concerts, showcasing their skills and teamwork! Donations to LAEF are funding our music teachers. Thank you!
