In addition to inclusive and welcoming classrooms and schools, this comprehensive program involves three distinct components:
LASD classrooms are safe an inclusive places where children are at the center of the learning. Social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development are integrated to help students develop to their full potential.
LASD schools provide on-site school-based mental health supports services for students.

Certified elementary PE teachers help develop each student’s motor skills and understanding of health, nutrition, and fitness. Through engaging games and intentional skill-building LASD’s elementary PE program keeps kids moving and learning!
LAEF supports LASD’s Wellness program by providing funding for PE teachers and mental health counselors.
